Located at 25 Church Street in New Milford, CT, Gallery 25 is a cooperative fine art gallery for western CT area professional and emerging artists and artisans, representing all media of visual fine art, sponsored by the New Milford Commission on the Arts.  

Gallery 25 is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 to 5, or by appointment. 
 

Fine artists and artisans wishing to inquire about membership may contact Gallery 25 
and ask for submission guidelines.  Applicants must submit digital files. The gallery will
require an interview

KAYLA EK - Event Director 

 

Regional Pop-Surrealism Artist

"From the historical town of New Milford, Connecticut Kayla Ek's first art showcase was with the Silo Hill Farm Gallery in Kent at the mere age of 13 years old under the teachings of Tracy Cox.

 

She pursued an early career in graphic design by obtaining certification under the instruction of Todd Mclarty & Jennifer Trinx of Henry Abbott Technical Highschool and is Ideal to work with for striking graphic design.  Ms. Ek  believes in supporting the art community around her and has taken part in Yearly Festivals such as Paint the People hosted by the Village Center for the Arts. Kayla has won many awards due to her excellence in the arts such as the 2014 Connecticut Association of Schools Outstanding Arts Award.

 

She continues to strive for sucess by continung her education at Western Connecticut State University. In 2015 Ms. Ek began a wave of artistic freedom and comfort using her imagincation. Exploring lyrical illuminations  of recent r&b music and visual interpretations of conversations she has had with her peers -Featuring astrounauts, drips and bubbles her emotive and surreal urban portraits shows her love for things that leave a "strange" impression."

Locally Renowned Curator & Illustrator

" Lacee is a gem in the new milford creative community, who hails from the island of long but landed herself in southern litchfield county about three years ago. Lacee is an active supporter of the arts whose main focus has been helping local artist’s find their voice And a place to show in the local community.

 

Lacee is the art curator at the village center for the arts, the art curator at tonio’s panino and also the art curator for sweet spot bakery all located in the heart of new milford. Lacee also offers custom framing as part of her services. This all coming from a native long islander who only just moved to new milford from mastic beach a few short years ago.

 

When lacee isn’t putting together art parties, curating this month’s show or speaking to businesses about how they can support the arts for the upcoming art crawl, lacee finds her center in her own artwork. As a self taught illustrator, lacee specializes in watercolor and ink works. She often works by commission for tattoo art, greeting cards, custom paintings and more.

Lacee has managed to show her work in quite a few venues in a very short amount of time. For instance art lab in manchester, new milford public library, the village center of the arts, and salons by jc in west hartford."
